In the present study, Inclusion Europe looked with the help of its members and some national experts
at some of the core issues that would make mainstream schools accessible for pupils with complex
support needs. While case studies showcase individualised solutions and support, we tried to get a
more general picture about the policies and practices of school inclusion of children with complex
support needs.
Inclusive education for all is still a challenge and an unrealised dream for many people with disabilities and their families. Education is the key to inclusion, social justice and equal
citizenship. Education is a decisive factor in the life of every human being. The ability to organise education in an inclusive way requires commitment to the idea of inclusion and to the richness of diversity.
