Eurochild has launched a call for contributors to the Poster Sessions at the ‘Children First: Better Public Spending for Better Outcomes for Children & Families’ Eurochild Annual Conference.

Taking place in Bucharest, Romania, between 26 and 28 November 2014, the event focuses on efficient ways of investing public spending to improve the lives of children and families.

Starting from the implementation of the 2013 European Commission Recommendation ‘Investing in Children: Breaking the Cycle of Disadvantage’, the conference plans to use good case examples to outline successful ways of employing EU structural funds in stimulating growth and positive change.

The organisers are expecting around 250 participants, including governmental representatives from EU, national and sub-national levels, service providers and child rights activists and network organisations, business and corporates representatives, and academia.

The Poster Session is designed to engage participants in sharing experience and know-how in an interactive open space, where members of the civil society, researchers, law-makers and governmental representatives can join in the dialogue.
