etr Pentru Voi is an organisation for people with disabilities from Romania.
Pentru Voi is also a member of Inclusion Europe.

Pentru Voi wants more money for organisations helping
people with different problems.

This is why they will have a meeting with people
from other organisations and with politicians in Romania.

In the meeting they will talk about creating new
laws that will make it easier for organisations helping people
to get money from the state.

Pentru Voi, an Inclusion Europe member from Romania, is organising a series of regional consultations about the financing of social services. The dialogue session, organised in the framework of a larger project titled “Stronger NGOs together! Lobby and advocacy for the creation of equal opportunities for social service NGOs in accessing public financing”, will take place during a daylong workshop on Thursday, 19 June 2014.

Stronger NGOs together! takes place over twenty months, from 1 April 2014 to 31 November 2014, and is supported by Caritas RomaniaCaritas Norway, as well as by several Romanian organisations.

The 19 June workshop is part of an ample nation-wide consultation process which brings together members of NGOs and public authorities from five different regions in Romania, with the purpose of gathering data and opinions to be used in elaborating proposals for a new social services financing policy.

The regional consultations start from the premise that social services are of central significance in the process of social cohesion and inclusion, as well a major factor in improving the quality of life of people in a vulnerable situation.

By beginning a process of dialogue and information sharing, Pentru Voi hopes to stimulate cooperation between NGOS and enhance their role in policy development and involvement in public debate, but also improve communications with local and national authorities.

For the past 18 years, Pentru Voi has been working towards constantly improving the financing of social services. We hope that our public policy proposals elaborated during this project will be accepted by law-makers,” said Laila Onu, Pentru Voi Excutive Director.
