The Council of Europe Unit
on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
has shared their plans for the Disability Strategy
for the years 2017 – 2023.

They published a draft of this plan and would like to receive comments and suggestions on how to make it better.

Inclusion Europe is going to submit a comment
on the draft plan.
We would like to include your opinions.

to before Tuesday 17 May.

This way, they can receive comments and ideas
from persons with intellectual disabilities
to improve their draft.

We don’t have a lot of time but it is very important
that you make your voices heard.

 

The Council of Europe Unit on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is opening public consultations on the draft Council of Europe Disability Strategy 2017-2023. You can consult the draft here.
The Council of Europe expects to receive submissions from national human rights institutions, equality bodies, Ombudsman institutions, civil society and organisations of and for persons with disabilities. Inclusion Europe is working on its contribution. Thus, we would like to hear our members’ opinion on the draft Council of Europe Disability Strategy 2017-2023.
Despite the tight timeframe, we should not miss this opportunity to give concrete recommendations to the Council of Europe to better implement and promote the rights of persons with disabilities in Europe.
