The be.safe project addressed internet safety for people with intellectual disabilities

Event ``Cybercrime and hate speech: how to make the internet a safe place for everyone``

Every 39 seconds, a hacker attacks a computer that is connected to the internet. While everyone can be a victim of cyber attacks and online hate speech, people with intellectual disabilities are particularly vulnerable.

The be.safe project that Inclusion Europe is partnering in, together with associations from Belgium, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Poland and Portugal, addresses this issue.

The event on “Cybercrime and hate speech” will take place at the European Economic and Social Committee, at the Trèves Building, 74 rue de Trèves, 7th floor, Room TRE 7701 on Thursday October 3rd, 14h – 15.30h. There will also be interventions from Equinet and Victim Support Europe.
