Spanish ETR organisation hosts 2014 ETR Novella Award

The Organisation of Spanish Easy to Read Associations (Agrupación de Asociaciones de Lectura Fácil España, in Spanish) is hosting the 2014 Easy to Read (ETR) Novella Award with the goal of finding new ETR writers that bring literature, culture and knowledge to all society members alike.

for the best easy to read (ETR) story.The winner will get a prize of 400 euros.
Also, their story will be published.

Anybody can participate if:

  1. They did not win the prize before.
  2. The story is new.
  3. Their story is written in Spanish.
  4. Their story is written in ETR.
  5. They send the story before 26 September 2014.

The Organisation of Spanish Easy to Read Associations (Agrupación de Asociaciones de Lectura Fácil España, in Spanish) is hosting the 2014 Easy to Read (ETR) Novella Award with the goal of finding new ETR writers that bring literature, culture and knowledge to all society members alike. The initiative is intended at contributing to the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and reading difficulties.

Applications are open to all candidates who have not won this award in the past. All those interested must submit their work (one entry per contestant), with the condition that it was not previously published elsewhere or awarded in other contests, by the 26 September 2014. The novellas must be written in Castilian Spanish and complying with ETR guidelines provided by either IFLA or Inclusion Europe.

The organisers have set the required character limit between 50 and 60 thousand, including spaces, and although the subject is open, all novellas inciting to violence or promoting discrimination based on gender, ethnicity or religion will be disqualified. The winner is to be announced in October 2014, and the grand prize consists of 400 euros in cash, together with the publication of the work (in paper and/or digital form).
