Aleksandra Ivankovic is the new director of Inclusion Europe, replacing Geert Freyhoff who was the previous director.

etr Aleksandra Ivankovic is the new director of Inclusion Europe.

She is replacing Geert Freyhoff who was the previous director.

Aleksandra is from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She studied law and human rights law.

Aleksandra worked in her home country and abroad.

She has a lot of experience working for the rights of people with
intellectual disabilities.

Aleksandra Ivanković Tamamović has taken over from Geert Freyhoff as the Executive Director of Inclusion Europe.
Holding a BA in Law from the University of Belgrade and MSt in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford, Aleksandra has more than 15 years experience working in national and international institutions in both her home country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and abroad. She spent four years working as a member of the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights, and has also worked as Senior Legal Officer in the Mental Disability Advocacy Centre (MDAC). At MDAC, Aleksandra had developed strategic litigation on behalf of people with intellectual disabilities in the proceedings before domestic courts and international institutions. Aleksandra is joining Inclusion Europe from the position of Senior Legal Advisor for fundamental rights in a consultancy firm in Brussels, where she had been managing a number of projects for the European Parliament, European Commission and the European Institute for Gender Equality.
Aleksandra has held the rights of people with intellectual disabilities close to her heart and is joining Inclusion Europe strongly believing in its mission. Following in Geert’s footsteps, and with his support, Aleksandra is committed to strengthening the voices of people with disabilities, and furthering cooperation with Inclusion Europe member organisations and partners. In her role as Executive Director, Aleksandra will work to make sure that Inclusion Europe bridges the gap between people with intellectual disabilities and European policy makers, while also ensuring  that the European voices are heard globally.
