About Zero project

Zero Project is an initiative of the Austrian organization Essl Foundation, focused on the rights of people with disabilities. It is a project with which 4,000 experts from 170 countries collaborate, in charge of identifying the most innovative policies and practices that improve the lives of these people.

This year from an incredible 475 nominations, 178 nominations have made it through to the shortlist. And two of them, Lev and Plena Inclusion, are our members.

Lev and KLAPjob

Lev’s project KLAPjob receives an award for its success in creating jobs for people with intellectual disabilities. KLAPjob forms partnerships with various companies to identify and advertise jobs on the labour market. People with intellectual disabilities are then helped to apply for the most suitable job for them. Between 2014-2019, KLAPjob has successfully supported people into 3,684 jobs.

Learn more about KLAPjob from a recent seminar we hosted.

Plena Inclusion and accessible public employment

Plena Inclusion won the European Zero Project award for promoting accessible public employment for people with disabilities. Enabling people with disabilities to apply for public vacancies, Plena Inclusion with the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities, developed a special call for the Ministry of Public Functions. From 2012 to 2020, 448 people were able to find a job.
