Yes to the Convention in Switzerland

On 27th of November, the Swiss Council of States endorsed the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The approval means an important step towards better recognition of the rights of people with disabilities in Switzerland.

Yes to the Convention in Switzerland

is a law. 

It says that people with disabilities
must have the same rights as everyone else.

In Switzerland they want to respect this law too.

can have a better life in Switzerland.

On 27th of November, the Swiss Council of States endorsed the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The approval means an important step towards better recognition of the rights of people with disabilities in Switzerland.

The organisations for people with disabilities welcomed this approval as a milestone for people with disabilities in the country. They pointed out that the ratification will complement the existing Swiss legislation and reduce the obstacles that prevent people with disabilities from enjoying full inclusion and autonomy.

NGOs and other stakeholders expressed their commitment to work closely with the Confederation and monitor the implementation of the Convention in the all aspects of lives of people with disabilities.
