It is crucial for people with intellectual disabilities to have their voices heard in the European elections. Equally, future members of the European Parliament (MEPs) must commit to upholding their rights while in office.
It is no news that people with intellectual disabilities are discriminated against. Still, the scale of the problem is often minimized, and instances of neglect and abuse are brushed under the carpet.
