General Assembly 2021

The General Assembly took place online on Monday, June 28.

Gerhard Kowalski was our Board member for many years. As his term ended, we thank him for all his work and contributions over the years.

Jyrki Pinomaa continues as President of Inclusion Europe for the next term. Inclusion means that no one is left out. Everyone should be treated as individuals with individual skills and individual support needs, Pinomaa said at Europe in Action: SKILLS conference in June, organized by the Support Alliance and Inclusion Europe.

We are happy to welcome a new self-advocacy member, All Wales People First. The organisation is a united voice of self-advocacy groups and people with learning disabilities in Wales. All Wales People First is an organisation for and led by men and women with a learning disabilities. It is unique in Wales in that it is the only national member-led organisation that represents the voice of men and women with a learning disability.

We were pleased to welcome our members to the General Assembly. Their work is invaluable across Europe for the rights and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and families. Thank you.

Our work brings the voice of people with intellectual disabilities and their families where decisions about their future are made.

This has always been incredibly important. It is even more so with the Covid pandemic drastic impact on their rights and lives.

Being visible and vocal on issues directly affecting millions of people requires your support.

Become Inclusion Europe supporter and help us keep doing our work.
