The European Disability Forum announced the creation of a scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year, funded by the company Oracle, for students with disabilities studying in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, User Experience, or related fields.

The scholarship is for students with disabilities studying in fields related
to Computer Science. They will give the money to the best project.

The European Disability Forum announced the creation of a scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year, funded by the company Oracle, for students with disabilities studying in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, User Experience, or related fields.

The scholarship, worth 8.000 Euros, will be awarded based on a project or research conducted during the academic year, following several criteria, including:

  • Originality
  • Scientific quality and respect to the state of art
  • Consideration of the diverse needs of people disabilities
  • Innovation and contribution to the advancement of e-accessibility for people with disabilities

To be eligible, candidates should submit a project or thesis addressing the needs of persons with disabilities in terms of accessibility to ICT (e-Accessibility) and/or proposing an innovative solution to enhance their access.

Complete applications have to be sent by 1 September.
