The European standards for making information easy to read and understand are now available in nine additional European languages!

Yesterday, the European Parliament declared its support for the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) by adopting a resolution on realizing its full implementation.

Inclusion Europe has received glowing feedback on its Europe in Action Conference 2014 entitled ‘Growing up with an intellectual disability,’ which took place in Belfast on 15-17 May.

In light of the 2014 European Parliament elections, FEAPS is re-launching the ‘My vote counts campaign’ (‘Mi voto cuenta’, in Spanish), previously run during Spanish national and local elections. The campaign raises awareness on the right to vote of persons with intellectual disabilities, which is supported by Art.29 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The “Europe in Action” conference happened from 5-7 June. For the conference, we went to Vilnius. Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania. We talked about independent living for people with intellectual disabilities. And about inclusion.
