"Access City Award" is the name of a competition for cities in Europe that do a lot to become more accessible.

The European Commission and the Expert Panel on Effective Ways of Investing in Health have launched a public consultation on ‘Access to health services in the European Union’. Inclusion Europe has highlighted the issues and consequences of lack of access to health care for people with intellectual disabilities.

The European Commission has issued a Mandate on 'Design for All' with the aim to include accessibility in mainstream standards. As a part of this work, an analysis of the main standardisation areas and fields will be carried out in order to identify which standards have to be addressed most urgently.
