Welcome to our new Advocacy and Policy Officer, Helen Portal!

Inclusion Europe has a new Advocacy and Policy Officer: Helen Portal. Helen has studied International and European law both in France and in Ireland and specialised in disability law through her work experience: She has been involved with the Secretariat-General of the French “Defender of Rights” (“Défenseur des droits“), assisting its legal adviser in disability law, and moreover worked with the “French Council of Disabled Persons on European Affairs” (CFHE), where she focused on the French civil society’s alternative report for the country’s review regarding the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD).

As Advocacy and Policy Officer at Inclusion Europe, Helen will support our work on European disability policies and will promote it at the European level. She will advocate for the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities and their families to actively participate in society and be fully included in all aspects of life.

Our work brings the voice of people with intellectual disabilities and their families where decisions about their future are made.

This has always been incredibly important. It is even more so with the Covid pandemic drastic impact on their rights and lives.

Being visible and vocal on issues directly affecting millions of people requires your support.

Become Inclusion Europe supporter and help us keep doing our work.
