Inclusive Campus Life: event

Working and studying together in higher education: A place for everyone!

Working and studying together in higher education. A place for everyone!

An inclusive campus is an environment of colleges and universities that is welcome and accessible to everyone. Also for people with intellectual disabilities. How do you manage that? In the context of the “Inclusive Campus Life” event we are a partner in, knowledge and experiences in the Netherlands and various other European countries will be shared at a two-day conference. The focus will be on five themes:

  1. accessibility of a college and university
  2. work and employment at a college or university
  3. learn and study at a college or university
  4. buddy systems
  5. a framework and monitoring tool for management and employees to support, monitor and value ambitions towards an inclusive university or university.

What’s the goal?

The exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas concerning the inclusion of people with a mental disability at a college or university.

Who is this conference relevant for?

  • Anyone interested in the topic of involving persons with an intellectual disability at the campus.
  • Interest groups for and by people with intellectual disabilities
  • Service providers of care and support for people with intellectual disabilities: supervisors, coaches, HRM.
