is an organisation for people with disabilities.ENIL believes people with disabilities have the right to live independently.
This is why ENIL started a project called Think Different, Think Equal.

ENIL made 4 videos in order to help young people with disabilities:

  • Get information about their rights.
  • Find the courage to stand up for themselves.

The videos are made by other young people with disabilities.

The European Network on Independent Living (ENIL) launched Think Different, Think Equal, a new campaigned speaking about the rights of Europeans with disabilities.

Think Different, Think Equal aims to raise awareness through a series of four videos created by young people with disabilities from fifteen different countries. The videos are rooted in the concept of intersectionality, which is the intersection of different forms of discrimination. The campaign aims to inspire young people with disabilities to “understand and embrace their multiple identities,” as ENIL explains, by enhancing their “capacity to identify and respond to discrimination by knowing their rights and the protections available.”

The four videos are available online and have been produced by, and for young people with disabilities, after a seven-day study session on discrimination held by ENIL and the Council of Europe. The meeting, which took place in Strasbourg, gathered 39 eager participants and their assistants, who were encouraged to share past experiences and work together. “The video campaign further promotes the role of Independent Living in the development of self-advocacy and self-determination amongst young disabled people by highlighting the role that these skills can play in challenging negative attitudes and stereotypes,” ENIL revealed.
