The Spanish government has 10 new jobs for people with intellectual disabilities. FEAPS is an organisation of people with disabilities in Spain. FEAPS will help people to get these jobs. They will help them to apply for the jobs. They will also help them to prepare for job interviews. It is important that people with intellectual disabilities have the same rights and chances like anyone else. |
The Spanish government opens 10 job vacancies for people with intellectual disabilities in public administration sector.
The Ministry of Finance and Public Administration has opened 10 vacancies for Administrative Assistants, complying with the quota for the employment of people with intellectual disabilities in public sector. These openings are an addition to 54 permanent positions created for people for intellectual disabilities last year in central administration.
As during the last call, FEAPS offers all candidates interested in these vacancies support with the application procedure and the selection process. This support covers communication with the Ministry assistance with the application procedure, adaptation of the candidate’s CV as well as preparation of candidates for the selection process. Moreover, FEAPS has created an online platform to collect all the documents and required materials for job openings and it also establishes a forum for open questions to support the job seekers.
Since 2003, 2 000 jobs have been created in public sector for people with intellectual disabilities.
For any person it is important to have a job. For a person with intellectual disability, it is a step towards self- determination, personal autonomy, quality of life and full social inclusion.
During the Year of Participation, FEAPS urges public authorities to promote full citizenship and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities by supporting their participation in society and equal opportunities as the others.
