Inclusive Employment is competitive employment in regular businesses for people with disabilities under the same terms and conditions of employment as their non-disabled peers.

NHS England is developing a framework for accessible information called an Information Standard. This guidance will set out the requirements for accessible information for health care and social care institutions, as well as for public administration. Thus it is expected to improve the communication between people with disabilities and information providers and help to involve people with disabilities in decision-making.
The first African Leaders Forum on Disability committed to take up the steps necessary to improve the access of people with disabilities to fundamental rights. The forum hosted by Joyce Banda, the President of Malawi, and Special Olympics on 10 February in Lilongwille, the capital of Malawi, established the African Leadership Alliance on Intellectual Disabilities with an aim to boost the rights of people with intellectual disabilities in African countries.
Inclusion Europe and its partners in the SafeSurfing Project are calling on European Union policy-makers to take into account the needs of people with intellectual disabilities when deciding on the wording of the draft General Data Protection Regulation.
