Work-Life Balance

Inclusion Europe met with Nicolas Schmit at the European Parliament. He will soon start working as a Commissioner at the European Commission.

The topics of the meeting included work-life balance, the European Disability Strategy and deinstitutionalisation.

Ahead of the 13th June meeting of the EPSCO Council, we have joined COFACE-Families Europe and 11 other European civil society networks to co-sign a joint letter calling on the national governments to move towards swift transposition of the EU Work-Life Balance Directive.

The European Union has approved the work-life balance directive. It can be very positive for people with intellectual disabilities.
